Some alternative options for reflective wear

28/10/2014

Now that we’ve got your bicycle lights sorted through our Light Angel campaign, we’re moving on to reflective wear. The darker nights see us fumbling round under the bed for our reflective buttons and considering what other options are out there for a spot of reflectiveness in our clothing.

Our search for something other than the standard reflective vest brought us to Lflect, an award winning London based brand whose products are designed and produced in the UK.  They have everything from belts, to bag chains, socks and shorts, all with reflective elements.  Perhaps a tad on the cold side now but the reflective Liberty print shorts are rather lovely.  This quilted cotton jumper with reflective inserts is particularly nice.

The Urban Legend Winterbreaker Cycling Jacket would look great on and off the bike, and comes with reflective zips and is really well reviewed on the Cycle Chic website. It keeps the wind and rain off, and is highly breathable so you won’t overheat under it.

Finally, if you’re after a nice light weight sash that you can pop over your coat and keep handy in your bag when you’re not on your bike then we’re rather partial to these fun designs by Cyclodelic. The geometric pattern is a great alternative to your standard bright yellow reflective, and the 3M reflective strip does the job just as well.
