Cycle Training, Dr Bike and Maintenance Courses

01/10/2013

Do you know anybody who would like cycle training? In addition to the many events we host from Film Festivals to Halloween tours and Dr Bikes, did you know that here at Bikeminded we also promoted cycle training courses offered by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea throughout the year? In fact, in 2012/13 we delivered cycle training to 1215 people (403 adults and 812 children) all to Bikeability National Standards – for those who may not know, Bikeability is the ‘new’ Cycling Proficiency and is for any age, adults and children alike.

Whether you are a complete beginner, keen to develop confidence or to start commuting to work, we can provide a session to meet your needs. Adult training is delivered on a one-to-one basis and sessions are scheduled to suit your needs and if you live, work or study in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, you get this for free. As well as cycle training, Bikeminded also promotes bike maintenance courses offered by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and this year alone, we have already had 50 people come through the beginner and intermediate courses with more courses already set up over the coming months and remember, if you live, work or study in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea or Hammersmith and Fulham, you get this for free. If you would like to know more or book your place on a course, visit Bike Maintenance Courses

And as if all that’s not enough, we offer the perennial favourite Dr Bike. So far in 2012-13, we have already provided 95 Dr Bike sessions both on-street and in workplaces across the Royal Borough and this year, we also worked together with Barclays to provide more Dr Bike sessions at new locations and added a new location at the junction of Warwick Rd and High Street Kensington. Oh yes, and if you live, work or study in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, that’s free too!
