IBikeLondon Parks & River Ride

22/10/2012

If you like group cycle rides and you can’t make our Notting Hill Mystery cycle ride on 31 October, then how about joining IBikeLondon’s  Parks & River Ride for a fun and sociable ride taking in two of London’s Royal Parks and some glorious views of the river?

On Saturday 3 November, the group will be leaving Hyde Park Corner at 11am to head for Richmond Park and back up the Cycle Network along the Thames before ending at 3pm at the Old Ship Pub W6 – London’s No 1 alfresco dining venue. It’ll be a very social ride with a few breaks on the way and reassuringly, they will also have mechanical assistance if needed.

The route covers 42km (26.5 miles ie marathon distance) with at least a third of the route avoiding traffic completely and following part of the National Cycle Network – see route map. And then of course at the end of a long cycle ride, there is the traditional and well-earned pub grub to look forward to and you don’t even have to worry about parking your bike or bringing a bike lock as the rather wonderful Cycle Hoop will be on hand to look after everybody’s bikes.

All going well, this will be the first of a series of regular rides, so why not come down? You can have a good ride at the weekend, hang out with some likeminded & dare I say it, Bikeminded people. Maybe see you there…
