Our friend Andreas produces just about the most useful and interesting website for cycling, the London Cyclist, which we’re sure you’ve all seen. If you’d ever thought that all of his excellent content would make a good book, then you’ll be pleased to hear that he’s gone and done just that.
The London Cyclist Handbook is ‘your complete guide to life in the cycle lane’. We’ve had a sneak peek and were particularly impressed with how accessible it is. Andreas has a fantastically clear way of explaining things, which for this particularly DIY-phobic cyclist, might mean we actually give some of the instructions a go!

The illustrations are delightful, and there is a great range of suggested rides, including one along one of our favourite roads in the borough… Kensington Palace Gardens where you can see how the other half (or 0.00005%) live.

There are interviews with some of London’s well known cyclists, and a multitude of handy tips about where to buy your bike, what to wear on your bike etc etc. You can get your copy here, we’d highly recommend it. Oh- and as an extra bonus for anyone downloading the Handbook, you’ll also get a track for your ipod… Lovesong for a Cyclist!
