Classic Cycle Soundtracks: The Sounds of John Williams

Last month we wrote a post about one of the classic bike scenes in Steven Spielberg’s movie E.T. – Did you read it?

If you did, you would have known that we had written the post on the birthday of John Williams.

Williams composed the music to the film and without his music, we really struggle to imagine what the power of that scene would be: E.T., Elliott and their friends soaring into the sky on their bikes.

Here is another iconic bike scene from the film.

See what we mean about the power of music?

If you are a fan of John Williams’s work, then you might be interested in finding out that John Williams’s 80th birthday celebration sets to continue at The Royal Albert Hall with a one night only concert performed by The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. It will be on 19th October 2012 at 7.30pm. And for more information, click here.

Cycling through Kensington Gardens and past The Royal Albert Hall is one of our favourite cycle routes and we can’t wait to park our bikes up on the night!
