The second Cake and Coffee Cruise

Last Saturday we held our second Cake and Coffee Cruise. This tour was an absolute sell out, so we had a group of 50 fabulous cyclists along. Thanks to lots of lovely publicity last week, the tickets sold out very quickly. Clearly we’re not the only ones who love cake and coffee!

We started out again at Pedlars, who had generously invited along a star barista for us.  Topped up with a lovely flat white or two, we set off…

Sipping coffees outside Pedlars before we head off

Cycling on the back streets of Notting Hill and Kensington was lovely.  Seeing the trail of cyclists following behind was a heartening sight! We had some great marshalls to stop the traffic for us, and help us down the stairs!

Taking a sneaky short cut

We snacked on some delicious courgette and chocolate cupcakes from ButterCup.

And then through Albertopolis (has to be the best named neighbourhood in London!) to Pierre Herme for one of their amazing olive macarons.

Finally we headed over to Cocomaya for a delicious berry delight.

Berries anyone?

It was another fantastic day out, and we’re putting our heads together at the moment to dream up some more tours.  We’d love any suggestions you might have, leave a comment below.

I think you’d do well with more of these coffee and cake tours, but with different routes/cafes. I came along and loved it! You could do a savoury tasting perhaps, cycling to the best gastropubs in the borough?
